Fourth Part of the Day
Issue 70
My children did not learn the art of writing thank you notes. They do know to take a little gift to someone’s house to say thank you for a party or any hospitality. Our four parts are figuring out who and where a little surcee needs to go.

First Part
We have a stack of little white gift bags we can use, but I’ve been thinking about switching that up to something more useful post gift receipt. A little basket (ribbon and cellophane included) can always be reused.
Second Part
In our ongoing clean out the house effort, I found three boxes of pencils given to me by friends. I love a good ol’ fashioned number two pencil. That scratch against paper is a favorite sound. Now, I like the pencils with clever phrases imprinted on them and there are so many out there — you can definitely find some that match the gift recipient. If you need a gift for teachers or fellow team moms, I know you can find some from this great Etsy shop, The Posh Shop. This shop offers everything from astrological sign sayings to RHONJ. I like these Cool Mom pencils — perfect for my people.
Third Part
I’m catching up on Call a Midwife. It’s such a good show but each episode is full of intensity. Bringing chocolates seems to be a gift of choice when visiting Nonnatus House. I would like a really nice chocolate bar or a package with a few pieces so I guess others would, too. I like a Hu bar and or of course bites of caramel from Godiva.
Fourth Part
A lotion or a lip balm is also always a good idea to share as a thank you or thinking of you gift. With gift giving about to hit full swing soon, you can find a pack of minis and either separate or give as a single gift. Laniege is always good to have bedside or in your purse.
