Fourth Part of the Day
Issue 67
The fall blankets came out of the closet this week and while a couple of mornings felt a bit crisper, we’ve still got heat. I’m ready for real fall. Our four parts are in routine and readying for cooler temperatures.
As note, I use Amazon Affiliate links.
First Part
I’m ready to be putting on fall-like lounge-around-the-house sets in the morning when I don’t need to get out the door for something. I have a couple of sets and own leggings, but I’m seeing some really cozy looking pants and sweatshirts. This set looks comfortable and soft.
Second Part
Thrive Market has the Southwest Airlines pretzels. We love them and get excited on each flight. I ordered those so quickly when I saw them. Now we have a big bag at home which is a perfect little snack. They rival my fav Dot’s but this flavor is unique and perfect for this pretend fall.
Third Part
Washing my face the other night, I noticed a new brown spot had popped up on my right cheek. I need to get on top of that and without lasering off my face, find a treatment. I’ve had this soap on my Amazon list for a while and I think I need to add it to cart.
Fourth Part
My fourth part this week has not been in the evening when the house is quiet and all are tucked away in bed — reminder I have twin 16-yer-olds who are rarely asleep before my bedtime. Instead, I’ve spent snippets of my day, either while driving or making dinner, listening to Jen Hatmaker’s new book Awake. So many have written reviews and out language around how I feel so I will just add, whoa. It’s good. Her voice and her pace all by with her words brings is overwhelmingly beautiful and tender. It’s not simply the story of her divorce. It’s also the story of her awakening to herself. It’s a reminder that we all have that person we are oftentimes to busy to remember and honor. Heavy to hear at times but so worth the read or listen.
