Fourth Part of the Day
Issue 66
Now that it is fall by the date on the calendar, I feel the call of the outdoors. I want to hike, to explore and to be outside. We have a picnic table and a nice set up on our back porch — televisions included — and until fall, it’s too hot and full of bugs to enjoy. It’s not quite cool enough but it will eventually get there. Our four parts are working toward enjoying the outside together — that’s my plan.
First Part
I caught a segment a few months back on the Today Show about rewilding your yard. Plan it Wild presented the idea of using native plants and wildflowers to return to a natural state. I’ve decided I’m taking a landscaped area of our backyard and planting herbs from Trader Joe’s without any structure. I’m also throwing seeds out there without an organizational plan. Now to keep up with watering.
Second Part
On the days I work from home, I typically eat lunch at the table in our kitchen. Now that it’s cooling off or will cool off soon, I may take my mid-day meal outside. I like a one-bowl lunch and saw this salad recipe with apples, cranberries and feta that looks promising.
Third Part
If we want to have dinner outside, we can use the picnic table but I think we need a tablecloth. I like oil cloth for outside and saw this one I might order.
Fourth Part
To support my new tennis habit, I need to find workout shirts. I have the shorts and skirts, the socks and sneakers. I want fitted, but not cropped. Looking at this one and thinking I may add to cart.
